FastBuild records every check-in and check-out with GPS coordinates and validates the worker's location against the job site geofence, giving construction companies a reliable, verifiable attendance record without paper timesheets.

GPS attendance uses a virtual boundary, called a geofence, drawn around each job site. When a worker arrives, they open FastBuild and tap check-in from their phone. The app captures the exact time and GPS location and verifies that the worker is inside the site's geofence before accepting the check-in.

Every check-in creates a work session tied to the employee, the site, and the time. When the shift ends, the worker checks out and FastBuild calculates the hours worked for that session. Because the location is recorded at both check-in and check-out, the attendance record is verifiable rather than based on a written signature or a supervisor's memory.

Out-of-range check-ins are not silently accepted. FastBuild flags them, marks the session as a GPS exception, and notifies managers so they can follow up. This creates a transparent record that reduces disputes over reported hours and time spent on site.

Geofences are configured per site with a center point and a radius. A site near a parking lot or material yard can use a larger radius; a small interior site can use a tighter one. Because the boundary is configurable, the system works for both open-air projects and enclosed facilities.

For Canadian construction companies, GPS attendance replaces the manual timesheet process with a record that is consistent, timestamped, and tied to a physical location. It supports daily reporting, payroll hours, and overtime review because the attendance data is structured from the start.
