The Problem

Time tracking on construction sites often means paper timesheets filled out at the end of the day, with hours that are hard to verify and easy to dispute.

The Outcome

FastBuild records check-in and check-out times at the site with GPS validation, producing hours that are consistent, verifiable, and ready for payroll.

Time tracking for construction crews is about answering one question accurately: how many hours did each worker actually spend on the job site today?

The traditional answer is a paper timesheet: a worker writes their hours, a supervisor signs it, and the payroll office transcribes it. That process is slow and error-prone. Hours are forgotten, rounded, or disputed, and the payroll clerk has no way to verify what actually happened on the site.

FastBuild replaces the manual entry point with a digital check-in. When a worker arrives at the site, they tap check-in on their phone. The app records the time and the GPS location, and validates that the location is inside the site's geofence. When the shift ends, the worker checks out, and the session hours are calculated automatically.

The workflow is simple enough for the field: the site geofence is set once when the site is registered, and from then on, check-in is a single tap. No writing, no transcription, no end-of-week reconstruction.

The hours produced by this process feed directly into the daily report and the payroll calculation, so the time sheet and the payroll figure are the same number.

FastBuild supports this workflow with GPS attendance and geofencing, construction sites, daily reports, and Canadian payroll.
