Geofence

Quick Definition

A virtual boundary around a job site used to verify that a worker is on site.

A geofence is defined by a center point and a radius. When a worker checks in, their GPS location is compared with the boundary. Inside means the check-in is valid; outside means it is flagged as an exception. Geofences are configured per site and are the foundation of GPS attendance.
