Construction workforce management is the discipline of organizing the people and the work of a construction company: who is employed, where they work, what they do, and how they are paid.

The challenge in construction is that the workforce is mobile and the work is distributed across job sites. A company may have crews on several sites in the same week, with different supervisors, different schedules, and different tasks. Paper timesheets, spreadsheets, and memory do not scale to that reality.

FastBuild organizes the workforce around the job site. Each employee has a profile with a role and an hourly rate. Each site has a location, a geofence, and a crew. Attendance is checked in against the site, tasks are assigned within the site, and the daily report summarizes the site's day.

The workflow that holds workforce management together is simple. A manager invites an employee, assigns them to a site, and the employee checks in with GPS at the site. Hours accumulate automatically, tasks are tracked as the day progresses, and the daily report closes the day. At the end of the pay period, the same hours flow into the payroll calculation.

The result is that the operational questions that used to require digging through paper now have immediate answers: who was on site today, how many hours did they work, which tasks are still open, and what is owed for the period.
