FastBuild employee management covers the employee lifecycle for construction companies: invitations, profiles, roles, and access, so the right people have the right tools.

Adding a new crew member in FastBuild starts with an invitation. A manager or owner enters the employee's email and role, and FastBuild sends an invitation the worker can accept from their phone. When they accept, they become a member of the company and receive the appropriate access.

Each employee has a profile with the information a construction company needs: position, department, hourly rate, hire date, and emergency contact details. Managers can update profiles as roles change and can deactivate an employee when they leave the company, which immediately revokes their access.

Roles control what each person can see and do. FastBuild ships with owner, manager, and employee roles, and company owners can create custom roles with granular permissions, for example a site supervisor role with task management and attendance visibility but without payroll administration.

Employee records are linked to attendance, tasks, payroll, and reports. That means the same person who checks in at a site is the one who appears on the daily report and whose hours feed payroll.

For Canadian construction companies, employee management in FastBuild removes the friction of onboarding while keeping access control explicit and auditable.
